Hi everyone I have a 89 vn 5 litre and the engine lamp keeps coming on I tested it and sure enough code 13 came up so I replaced the O2 sensor it was good for three days and sure enough it's keeps poping up every now and again and it's 13 i have disconnected the battery but no luck has anyone had the same problem??
A dodgy wire, perhaps? Is the plug for the O2 sensor nice and tight, with good contacts?
Perhaps the car is running nice and rich, or you're doing MASSIVE bangers and glowing your exctractors like a boss 'till the oxy sensor dies?

it could be the sensor is not getting a decent earth, as they earth through the manifold/ extractors. it was a common fix to fit an additional wire between the body of the o2 sensor and a good ground point. there is one just next to the alternator. they fixed this in later models by incorperating and earth return circuit in the wiring. these o2 sensors have 2 wires as opposed to the single wire ones im sure yours will have.
i got a 5litre vt mine shows the same code its done it ever since i got high flow cats
