Default vn v6 fuel pressure issues

hey guys i recently upgraded to a 1.5l surge tank with bosch 044, walbro internal lift pump, half inch lines,
Now .... ive set the base fuel pressure at 36lb (which ive been told is right and what it should of been tuned at) and it runs like absolute dogs balls. however when i set the base fuel pressure at around 25lb it idles fine.
im running a sard 1:1 rising reg. why would it be not likeing the standard base fuel pressure,
it was tuned with the 044, sard reg, bosch green tops with std size fuel lines b4 i touched it.

pressure should be 45-47ish psi with vacuam line unplugged and engine idling.but by rights there should of been no need to adjust the reg at all if all you did was install lines and surge tank
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
