My vp commodore runs extreamly rough upon 1st startup after the car has been sitting for a while (overnight).
Car violently shakes around if i put my foot down in park, Almost as if its running on a few cylinders. Its revs go really high then drops. once the revs drop and i start to drive it, upon exceleration from -1000 rpm the car for a few seconds almost goes to stall for -2 seconds, And then runs as normal, Untill the car warms up then runs without issues for the rest of the day.
This started over a year ago and was happening for about a month and has recently started again within the last few days.
Any ideas?
Is it possable that a dirty fuel filter or carbon build up in the IAC could cause this?
Thankyou for your time.

Cud be your head gaskets or manifold gasket same thing happened to my vn
sounds like dripping injectors or fuel reg leaking fuel into the manifold overnight .
my vs commy dose the same thing but it dose not stall the engine light comes on but once it warms up its fine for the day? i did the computer test its say the air flow meter put a new one in it dose the same thing i put new coil pack in still dose it, iam about to give up on it and brun it but if someone can help wounld be good
a bloke at work said " brake cleaner, just dont get it on the paint or anything".. so i bought luquimoly rapid brake cleaner.
..so i sat the motor around 1500-2000 rpm so it purred nicely ... and then i squirted the brake cleaner directly into the manifold for 2 secons about every 10 to 15 seconds and did this for about 20 squirts...
then put the intake back together the motor instantly sounded better when i started (was warm though)... then cleaned out reusable air filter and it has driven smoothly since... l also put injector cleaner in it.

the last thing we need is more threads lol...
my fix has lasted 3 weeks givin that i drive 150ks a day for work (there and back) it could just be due for it again..... but it may also be just temporary fix... or i need to due a trans service...
unsure ....
sorry if any info i suggested may cause problems or only temporary fix the issue but it would be worth try for anyone doing regular ks like 20k at most a day.....
