    Default Diagnostic Help

Ok so we are trying to establish what the problem is with the Vp at the moment and every time we try to find a fault the engine warning light goes out after awhile and the thermo fan cuts out and the ignition is still on. Do you think i may have an electrical fault maybe? Any help much appreciated. Thanks it is a vp 5 speed manual that has started to randomly stall and cut out.

if you need, get a ADLA plug for your computer and run a diag on it then, that way any error codes found will be logged into your pc and you wont have to waste time trying to wrok error codes out.... i did it for mine.

one thing i could suggest also it your throttle body could be ####ed, or the sensors on it, eg the throttle position switch. they do wear out over time mine did this and it would would randomly stall as it was sending the ecu false data causing the engine to stall. if you have a spare or a mate with a spare throttle body try changing it and see if that works. also try resetting your computer by removing the battery cable for about 30 secs and when you restart the car, hold the revs at 3000rpm and that will reset all of the TPS n what not.
