VR/VS have that cut out bit for the heater/AC vents as they've been moved to the door in them models, best getting vn/vp trim and put whatever u like in the centre (wood with the material same as seats) e.g exec, berlina, Calais etc.

Well the vents aren't connected to the door trim, but the trim has been "cut" to flow around the outline, and yeah it is possible, all you have to do is the take door trim off (VR/VS) and simply unscrew the speaker pods and screw them into your vn trim (some trims don't have screw holes from the other little compartment to stash cd's etc) so you may have to drill some screw holes.

As said, dont get VR/VR fron trims as they will not be suitable for your doors due to vents in VR/VS.
The VR/VS trims on the rear will fit perfectly though.
VR/VS Speaker/map trims will fit on a VN/VP trim however you will need to cut the hole for the speaker POD and also for screw mounting holes.
