i'm wanting to put a sport exhuast on my vn v6, dont wanting it sounding like shit(too loud), want to have nice note what do you guys recommend and also want extractors
4 inch straight pipe...... Lol jokes.... I want to know the same....
i would suggest a redback 2.5inch exhaust. ideal tone but not to loud and they are a good price on ebay, about 330 roughly
best bet on the buick V6 is to go 2.5 inch exhaust with a performance high flow muffler, dont get a hot dog or some shit and if you get a cannon i will personally kick your throat lol.
i have a 2.5 inch with a high flow cat 200cell,it idles kinda quiet but you can hear just hear the idles which is nice, when you take off and get to about 3000RPM it sounds really beefy not too loud kinda V8ish,you wont get any lumpyness like the V8s or anything without a cam if you are looking for that. im going pacemakers soon when i have the cash, should give it a bit more sound on idle and lower RPM,but if you do get extractors, make sure you ask for a 4 into 1 collector for maximum flow and best sound, also with a muffler, ask about an auger muffler, apparently they have the best flow and loudest,i havent heard one on the buicks though yet
It's a Holden V6, any exhaust but a silent one will sound like a horses arse
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.
Does no one ever search. This has been done to death.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
Lukey 2.5inch about $200 of ebay sound way better then that redback shit but its a six its gonna sound like shit no matter what.

oh and by the way, my car has one of those cheap lurkey systems on it, put on by previous owner and it sounds like crap, drones like a mofo. just a single 2.5 with a single muffler and its the crap of crap. i would rather put something alittle better that has a little bit of a better rep until i can afford a stainless system later on down the track.
You want a 2.5" exhaust with two proper chambered mufflers. That way it's not going to drone, but it'll have a nice subtle crackle and grumble. And you'll pick up a few horses.

Redback 2.5" exhaust, middle muffler but no hot dog, and maybe a hi flow cat. Dont waste money on extractors/pacemakers etc. USA exhaust have cheap sportsy's
With great cars, comes great drivers.
no need mate, i just fitted my redback exhaust tonight, and by god it sounds 100% better then the crap that was on there. alot more quiet on idle but has a nice deep rumble, quiet while cruising, but sounds aggressive while iam giving it a bootful.... well worth the money
Still looking?
I do Manta exhausts and Wildcat exractors for the VN. I wouldn't really worry about the cat as it only makes it louder and raspier. Extractors and the system with a front muffler and resonator will be $645 shipped. All bolt on, comes with the Y pipe as well.
resonators are a must, that way you dont look like one of those bogans with a fully sic single muffler exhaust that just drones and sounds like crap....
On the v6 you get the horrid drone but the v8 you don't..

Would it make it any better if you had twin pipes all the way on the v6?
No thats not a v8 thats on my vn v6 running a lukey extractors hi-flow cat into 2.5inch single muffler and it sounds alright not to loud and dosnt drone what the person that made the thread wants i was just pointing out that im saying this about my 6 but im a v8 owner 2.

How loud is too loud is always subjective.
If you're going 2.5" and want to maintain a good relationship with the neighbours, two mufflers is the go, or at least have a hotdog on the rear if you don't want a full size muffler there. Make sure you keep the centre muffler. Extractors will make it a touch louder.
