Default How do you tell if the water pumps stuffed..

Hi there Ive got overheating problems I checked the termostat after getting to it there was no thermostat someone took it out before me.

How do you know if the water pumps had it,there's no water leaking from it.I did replace the water pump three years ago but it was a aftermarket cheapie..

when it was overheating there was water and pressure trying to get out of the top radiator hose where it joins on to the radiator.

    thanks..

Is there water leaking from underneath the engine? Thats how I knew mine was stuffed, went to replace it last night with the one off my donor engine and I had to drop a bolt on the grass -.-

All good on the over heating problemIt turned out to be the radiator the bastard is made out of plastic, where the top radiator hose joins on to the radator its all cracked.

you should put a new thermostat in too.... there in there for a reason and a engine will run hotter without one in
    If in doubt......FLOOR IT!!!

Yeah I pulled my thermo stat's apart when I changed water pumps and found I had no thermo stat that's why my engine was heating up, yeah I found the screw after about an hour of searching lol. Then snapped one of the small bolts screwing it in so I used extra gasket goo and rammed it in where the screw would go (half a screw in the water pump, and it doesn't want to come out) haha.
