If you have Fuel Speed and Temp, that is a Level 1 cluster, just the basic option.

If you have Fuel, Speed, Rpm and Temp, that is a Level 2 cluster. If not, it's a fairly simple upgrade from the level 1, may be as simple as unplugging the level 1 cluster and plugging in the level 2.

The top spec cluster is the Level 3. It has the gauges of the Level 2 cluster, but in a better design. It also incorporates a trip computer, whose displays can be viewed in the 3 LCD screens below the gauges. Aside from the cluster itself, you will need the appropriate switchblock (for the Trip computer controls), a loom out of a VN/VP which had the level 3 cluster, or get 88greenVN to make you up a patch loom (which is easier to install). Have a good read of this thread for all you info you need for a Level 3 cluster conversion: Tripin'...

dude thats great thanks heaps,i think i might go to the level 2 coz i dont wana do all that fumbling around with the new loom just for LCD screens, what im really interested in is pulling apart a level 2 and changing the colours so i get blue background and red needles, coz you cant do it to a level 1

if u decide to go lvl 2 just pull the lvl 1 out and put the lvl 2 in works fine just make sure its the right 1 for vn or vp depending on what u have or the warning/turn signal lights on bottem of cluster will be in wrong spots
