So likely to be DFI module or Crank Angle Sensor. There's so little else that can go wrong on these things

No, fuel pump load isn't determined by RPM, and injectors don't just "fizzle out" under high duty cycles.

Check for corrosion in the ends of your plug leads

I am doing up a vn wagon v6. It backfires at about 2 grand the more I accelerate the more it backfires. I have basically replaced everything. I do believe it's got something to do with the tps. I have replaced it but didn't solve the problem. I have had it come good a couple of times but goes back the next day I start it. I fiddled with the plug the other day and it cleared itself. It's doing my head in. Has anybody had that problem before? Does that sound like your problem fozzy?
