hey guys,
when driving my vn and giving it a bitta gas up to 3000 revs and over the car misses and backfires but when driving nomally its doesnt do it what could it be???
it did it really bad the other day to a point where i couldn't drive and we replaced the coil pack and it worked again fine my mate who gave me coil pack didnt no if it was in good knick or not could it possibly be that again
Just guessing but leads and plugs? Last time they where changed?
in the last month
So likely to be DFI module or Crank Angle Sensor. There's so little else that can go wrong on these things![]()

+1 crank angle sensor i had this problem in my vn for some reason coils/dfi went as well replace the crank angle sensor if still have problems do the dfi /coil packs and check leads an plugs
could it have anything to do with fuel pump or injectors if its not crank angle sensor
No, fuel pump load isn't determined by RPM, and injectors don't just "fizzle out" under high duty cycles.

it wasnt crank angle sensor or coilack any other suggestions
I am doing up a vn wagon v6. It backfires at about 2 grand the more I accelerate the more it backfires. I have basically replaced everything. I do believe it's got something to do with the tps. I have replaced it but didn't solve the problem. I have had it come good a couple of times but goes back the next day I start it. I fiddled with the plug the other day and it cleared itself. It's doing my head in. Has anybody had that problem before? Does that sound like your problem fozzy?
