I changed my water pump to a second hand one for now, when I put it in I snapped one of the bolts, how do I get the snapped bit out? Just want to know for when I buy a brand new water pump and put it in

Does it leak?
is there a stud sticking out?
If not you may have to drill and use an easy out.
If it is going into cast iron then you have a good chance that the broken off bit will just wind out with a screw driver or even finger tight. If it's into aluminium then try vice grips or whatever you can get onto it. Maybe consider a new timing case - if it's a V8 they are not expensive.

if is flush with the waterpump just use locking multi grips when you change the pump it will come out easy , but if its snapped flush with the block then its a drill and an easy out either way it will come out ive snapped a few in my time and never failed to remove one using these methods.
A easy out will do it.. Just take your time or if it's gone bad you could drill it and cut a new thread.. V8 or v6?
if none of the above work it is time for a helicoil
Might just use the drill, no chance of multigrips getting this one off lol
