    Default painting vn bumpers and removing the door strip

    i wanted to know what would be the best way to go about painting my grey bumpers black and removing the ugly black strip down the doors as i want to make my vn a bt-1 look alike i recon they look tuff

    im going to be painting my bumpers too very soon,basically you gota sand them back lightly,prepsol them,then hit them with a coat or 2 of plastic primer,then paint your black - 2 coats should be plenty,then go with a clear top coat to seal it and give it a nice shine,then buff them after 24 hours or polish them to make them pop

    But a VN BT1 look alike HAS the ugly black strip and unpainted bumpers ;-)

    Plastic primer and paint.. Clear would keep it nice and clean too... Just depends if your pint is clean and good as well or the bumpers will be better than the body paint

    were would i get platic primer from just a paint shop? (iv never heard of it) and is it expensive?

    You can plastic primer from auto barn, super crap auto or even a car paint supplies joint..

    im getting mine from auto 1,they mix your paint for you too,its fair cheap,just hit one of their stores up,or any auto store,its not expensive,1 spray can will probably set you back $25 or so,maybe 30 depends where its from
