    Default Cat flow, urgent help

I took cat off and forgot to look at which way the flow arrow went, it's currently facing towards the back of the car, is this right?

Turns out it was the right way, but for some reason the sports exhaust I put on (my VN wagon) the end pipe won't fit in properly? What could be causing this?
