So the inlet manifold is welded up and back on and the car is running again. They also replaced a number of somewhat perished rubber vacuum hoses going to throttle body, MAP sensor, inlet manifold, charcoal canister etc. I'm not yet super-confident they put them all back on the right places so can anyone post a diagram showing where all these should go to?
no diagram but maybe i can help..
MAP sensor and fuel regulator hoses to front of manifold, brake booster and vacuum line for heater tap/vents etc at rear. charcoal cannister lines to throttle body. pcv and fresh air lines out of rocker cover to throttle body.
the sizes all vary somewhat so u shouldn't have too much hassle sorting out what goes where
Thanks for that, dirt drifter. Looks like they got it pretty well right. Only thing to figure out now is the TB connections - it is actually a Gas Research carby and it has five small hose connections. I have since got a diagram for that so we'll see what's what. Just that in the first 1/4 throttle it doesn't seem to have the punch it used to have. More difficult to start on gas than it used to be too.
