My error codes.

Hi guys.. Just did the error code test on my vn because the idles are fluctuating really bad and sometimes it revs up then drops too low and stalls... anyway did the test and got code 13 (Oxygen Sensor) and 21 (Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) - Voltage Too High). Im fairly sure how to fix the o2 sensor.. but not too sure about code 21.. how should i go about fixing that?

Id first try resetting the ECU to clear the logged codes, because sometimes a code can set from a "one off glitch" in the system. You can clear the logged codes by removing the negative battery terminal for a minute or two. Then recheck the codes again to make sure they have cleared and that you only get a code 12. Then after the car is started or driven again, recheck the codes again to see if they have come back. If they have returned, check all the wiring and connectors to each of the the sensors etc that the error codes point to, then if the wiring and connectors are all ok, renew the sensor itself. The TPS is located on the throttle body, and has two screws that hold it onto the throttle body.They are T20 size torx type screws so you need a set of torx drivers.

yeah i already disconnected the negative terminal for about 5 minutes then put it back on and went for a drive for a few hours... this time the engine light came on and stayed on and im getting the same codes plus 22 as well now. so 13, 21 & 22. The cars still idling irregulary and sometimes it will surge randomly if your sitting on 60k or more. idles still fluctuate up and down and sometimes stall.

Id replace both the TPS and the oxygen sensor seeing the codes came back again after being cleared. The oxygen sensor should be replaced about every 100,000k's anyway if you want to keep getting half decent fuel economy from these engines. Id stick with genuine holden sensors, although they usually cost more, they last a long time when compared to a lot of the cheaper aftermarket replacement parts. Apparently holden dont sell replacement oxygen sensors any more, but bosch make decent oxygen sensors. Ebay is probably the cheapest place to buy car parts these days.
