I have had my VP for about 3 years, and all has been well. A couple of months ago, I noticed the Tail/Brake Light Bulb Failure dash indicator come on. As I couldnt really find any issues with the tail light, I let it be. As it happens, over the last few days, I have had a battery warning light in the morning that stays around for about 15mins and then goes away. I decided to have the battery replaced as mine was very old, but no difference. The alternator was checked by the road service guys and all was good. The morning after the new battery, I tried to start it to no avail. It jsut didnt start. Yesterday, I took it to the AutoElectrician , and he kept the car overnight. The next morning he told me that the Alternator was bad and replaced it. Now, I get home and a few hours later, I almost cant start the car again. I have a gut feeling he didnt check the computer (I'm assuming this). Does anyone have any thoughts? I am going to give this Electrican a serve tomorrow morning and get my money back. This car is my job, so, without it, I;m in trouble. Thanks.
does it wind over ok? does it crank at all?do you have spark? check your earth points from the battery, engine and lights.
