msd coils & leads
just wondering if msd are a good brand lead over say top gun? and what are the benidits of msd coil packs?

6 of 1 half a dozen of the other...
MSD are only slightly more expensive than stock so may aswell get them.. they are a better coil but you wont notice it.
Leads are the same.. whichever is cheaper.
Unless your 3.8 is turbo'd to the shit heap then dont worry about spark, the standard setup is ample.

I do believe the genuine standard setup will perform just as well but I can't go past how good the red msd coil packs look
I dunno, ive mucked around with MSD coils for a long time now. Ive had a few different sets. Yes they look sweet but i really think the stock ones are better. More responsive and just feel better everywhere.

It's something to do with dwell rates and charge rates from memory.
