What can I do with a 5 speed?
Converting my VN wagon to manual next weekend, just wondering if there's any work I can do to the box? Is there like a manual specialist similar to Preston auto's? Any info would be great

No, not really.. Autos are better for big HP and anything running boost ect and the old 5speed is pretty much only good for changing gears
A rebuild kit is always a good start with new bearings and syncro's. Then there are small upgrades like billet bearing retainer. Or the expensive upgrades like straight cut gears and dog engagement.

Yeah I thought all the fancy stuff would be auto only lol, how much would a rebuild and the things you mentioned roughly cost me?
