broken VN boot lid

the boot lid springs on my 91 VN Commodore LE sedan are broken (and now lost!) - the boot has to be manually lifted up to use it every time.

I haven't beeen able to source a replacement spring set.

Does anyone know where I could get this properly fixed in the Coburg (Melb) area ?

Feedback appreciated.

Not that close to you but Jollys in Dandenong have heaps on vn/vp's got 2 last week....$7ea plus $2 entry

be careful fitting them springs, i have heard of people shattering their wrists because the spring came undone and hit them.

coburg area. ummmm... right up the hume highway. pick a part cambelfield right next to sims metal recycling. the boot torsion rods are 2 bucks each there and theres about 70 cars with them.... thats where i got mine for rthe vp berlina. 1 dollar entry means its a 5 dollar round trip...
