oil pressure

i just put a oil pressure gauge in my vn and i was wanting to know what pressure (psi) it should be at... i started it up before whenit was cold and it was as 40 psi at idel

40 psi cold is about normal. Will drop a little when hot.

apparently 10psi per 1000rpm is about right..

Depends on the motor and it should reach a maximum before max revs

ok thanks grpabt1 i used a t peice so my factory pressure light still works will that have any bad points to do with oil not getting to the sensor and so on

I've run the same T piece setup on mine without a drama for years.
