    Default Dodgy rev guage help,

hmm so my rev guage has never been quite right, works ok.. till 5000 revs then fully doesnt want to go any further?

For instance if i rev it right out in second gear, then shove it into third it just stays at 5000 revs?

would be nice if it was accurate so i could get perfect gear shifts.

any one out there no why this could be? chuur

search bar dude use it it has been covered many a time.

There is a circuit board behind the gauges that has some dry solder joints on it - re solder them up (will fix sticky fuel and temp gauges)
For your tacho just get one from a VS and replace the tacho in your car - it will be x100 better. I had the same symptom, tacho went up but didnt want to come down.
