i have problem with ma fuel light ( its not lighting up).
i let my gauge needle get down to just above the last line a little lower than that sometimes and the warning light still dont light up
it has caused me to run out of fuel cos the gauge played trick on me and told me i had no fuel bu the warning light was not lit so i thought it was fine b ut the next morning i conked out on side of the road (no fuel)
i learned from this i fixed the gauge whihc works perfectly now but no wenever i get down to the last line on the fuel gauge the warning just does not light up .
i have taken the cluster out and replaced the bulb a few times checking that they work before i do so but the light still dont work
can ani1 shed some light on this matter please how to fix or sum advice would be most helpful thanks
cheers to all holden owners out there :P:P:P:P:P:P
What happens if you unplug the sender ubnit at the tank? This should signal empty and light up the low fuel (I have done this myself)
On the VN's it's ment to light up at around 10 Lts left (VR/VS is 8 Lts)
So I would check the tracks on the back of the cluster - the earth side of the bulb probably.
Also when running in Diag mode it should light up on mode 3 test for a few seconds.
