    Default fuel pump almost dead???

when my fuel pump primes before the car is started its really quite i can hardly hear it but after my car is running and i turn it off it still pumps for a little bit and its really loud it kinda sounds like its pumping nothing but i have over a quarter of a tank of fuel so i dont know if its about dead.... it also wouldnt hurt to change the pump and is it hard to do. do i just drop the tank out (i have a fair idea how) then undo the however many bolts afound the pump then put the new pump in? is that all to it? its also a series 1 vn so would it be any differant to the series 2?

If it hasn't played up at all I wouldn't bother.

But it's not a hard job. Shouldn't need to drop the tank to do it.

They're noisy things sometimes, if it stops on you somewhere, give the bottom of the tank a hit roundabouts in the middle on the bottom. This can usually get it going again to get you home. Then change it.

But it's up to you mate.

It's not hard as such. But it's a pain in the arse.

Do search on here. Pretty sure there's a how to on it.
