fun with nitrous
hey guys my mate has a VN v6 as a bush basher and he went and bought a bottle of nitrous and poured it in the petrol tank,gotta say it was better than we expected,he was doing burnouts and shit at quarter throttle he reckons,just wondering if that is gona screw the motor? or would he have to o continuous use to do any damage as its not been set up for nitrous?

haha no im dead serious,his mates a performance mechanic and had the VN at his shop,had a proper bottle of nitrous lying around from a previous build,we tried a bit into my throttle body and it ripped a burnout instantly,so we risked his old crappy one by putting it in the fuel tank,and it actually worked,noticeable difference,and lol i wouldnt try using that energy drink in a car,although i would love to import that stuff to try it myself,unfortunately its like $45 for a pack of 6 300ml

no im full liscence,never had any experience with nitrous b4,but if it worked it worked,ive seen youtube vids of people putting nitrous down the throat and it works fine,was just a quick experiment on an old bush basher that my mate didnt care about,and it worked out

You should try pouring pure oxygen in there instead, it works great on rockets. Nitrogen doesnt burn, it contaminates the oxygen and costs you at least 43% in power.

just saying what happened,im really surprised too,for an engine that old,it did well,i probably wouldnt risk it again though,but i know putting it down the throat is ok,ive seen that done loads of times

its pretty hard to pour a gas down a tube into a fuel tank :/
