Bonnet linings

Hey gang I have been looking around for a new bonnet lining for the vn and can't to seem to find a new 1 for cheap. Mine is starting to come apart and was wondering if it would make any difference if I just took it out?

been thinking or taking it out for now till i find another..Been looking at the wreckers and there shagged too..

cant say the hot and cold swings of engine's heat would do any more damage than the australian sun in the peak of summer. the paint on my vp bonnet took about 3 years to start breaking up in the sun after i took the lining out. but the paint was probably approaching 10 years anyway (from last 2pac repaint). the only thing you might find annoying is the steam that comes off your bonnet when the cold rain hits it. looks like your bbq'n something under the hood at stop lights.

the front of the lining is in 2 bits now and when stuck in traffic it does steam a bit.. not lots but just enough to see it..

I got an aftermarket one from a Jaguar place in Clayton, on Princes Hwy
Sticks on like dynamat and does the job, just have to trim to size.

Will try to find the name of the place for you, I think they might even be on eBay...

Don't know about down your way but they are still available new up here in beautiful Brisbane. $90 list

my vn doenst even have it as far as i kow it never did my mates doesnt have it either are they ment to have it or didnt vns come out with it?
