Hi has anyone had success in doing this in one piece and how?
Its just a V6.....
i saw a windscreen person do this the other day.u get flexible blade and bend it about 30 degrees.this allowsthe blade to slice the rubber while still pulling it forward..make sure the blade is sharp before bending it...you need a blade approx 4-5 inches to work the best
stanley knive/box cutter to make a hole in the silicone bondo stuff to get some piano wire or high strength fishing wire thru. Then work wit a friend to saw around the glass. Not easy but possible. New screens are relatively cheap though and it might be just easier to kick the old one out with your feet.

i wouldnt recommend kicking out the screen unless you want glass bits showering you in the face when you turn on the AC. buy a drag knife off ebay for $30 bucks (thats what i did). you can use a really sharp long kitchen knife (something flexible) to get at the edges from inside the car. get a squirt bottle with water and dish soap, spray where you cut with knife helps it slide easier. the wire thing sounds like it would work too ive just never tried it. but what ever you do dont make a dogs breakfast of it cause youll be cleaning glass from you dash for the next year.

Its just a V6.....
I got a windscreen guy to put a new window and rubber in it and was only 180 bucks.. Sealed great and does not leak..
imo its not worth it. there really easy to crack from the inside, and can be as cheap as 150 for a brand new screen, seals and fitment. why would you bother
the curved shape is designed to absorb impact from the outside, as others have said it takes a very small amount of pressure from the inside to crack/break a windscreen
as for kicking it out, lol, it's not an early model holden it's bonded in place you can't just kick it out like an older rubber seal windscreen
All done... Easy as piss with the right tools
