    There's no such thing as a Series 1 VN, there were changes to the motor the most obvious the cooling system amongst other things during production however there is no fooicial series 1, series 2 etc.

    If your not running on all 6 cylinders, and you have replaced leads, coil, check plugs, try getting a compression test on the cylinders as well.. maybe a cylinder could be rooted..
