Default Engine swap help, VG V6

Hey guys, on the weekend I put a replacement engine in my 91 vg ute, Ive gone from a series 2 to a series 1 and i'm having a few cooling issues, the plumbing on my old engine was a fair bit of a mess with heater hoses blocked off all over the place, and with a different system on the s1 engine I'm a bit lost. I also only have the s2 overflow bottle, and Im not exactly sure that I have it plumbed correctly (if theres one thing I can never get my head around it's cooling systems) I am just about to put a new thermostat in and hope that it fixes the problem, but I'm still concerned about heater hoses and whatnot being in the wrong place, so any help would be greatly appreciated ie: where all the hoses go to and from.. thanks in advance

Unless you run the early (S1) water bottles and radiator your always going to have cooling problems.

best bet would be to get a gregory's manual or the equivlant and have a look at the pics of it all or get someone to post pics of how they go..

The decision has been made to buy a series 1 vn.. found one running, cheap as chips, so it will be a parts donor. Failing that I'm left with head gaskets or cracked head as far as I can tell? any other suggestions???

swap all the top end manifold and stuff off the s2 motor onto the s1 and bolt back in.
