and thanks for reading. I am in the process of installing a fan controller unit. It comes with an oil temp sensor and water temp sensor.

Both sensors are the screw nut pin type.

Engine is a VP 5l v8

Question is

1. If you use the factory oil sensor hole, does the ecu need the temp sensor, If I use this existing hole I will bypass the ECU.

I am stuck for the best location to install the oil sensor, any ideas would be great.
