Default VR 5 Speed Buick Motor Into Vn Calais

Hey guys, Just curious to know what kinda things id have to change over to get this all working. Obviously its the same engines, etc. Will i need to change the auto comp to the manual? looking at buying a defected 5 speed vr and putting it into my vn calais. Engine is slowly shitting itself in my vn so thought id get this lower K's one as well as change it to manual at the same time?
Any help would be great? thanks

Keep original VN engine loom and ecu. Extend a couple of wires to coolant sensor etc (open loom and feed them through to front, no need to cut and splice anything). Mechanically it will all bolt up with no mods needed. Swap your radiator, heater hoses and tap to VR set-up, straight swap no mucking around required. Get someone to write you a nicer tune to suit minor differences in VR motor over VN (comp, cam etc) and you will be away laughing.
(Have done this exact thing to my VN Calais.)
Your talkin to me all wrong, it's the wrong tone. Do it again and I'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron.

Is the VN a series 1 or 2?
If its a series 2 it will drop in and plug everything up
If its a series 1, you will need to use the engine loom off the s1 and extend about 2 wires (i think)

Not hard at all, go ahead and do it

Personally I would use the VR loom, its easier to take out of the car than it is to take off the engine.
