None of my VP doors will unlock either with remote or key.
With key on drivers side the key turns to open position but interior lock button in trim doesn't budge. On the passenger side key turns slightly and the interior button lifts about quarter way up but can't turn the key any further.
Headlights don't flash when I press remote either. Mobiliser has been disabled, so red interior light isn't on anyway.
Can't get inside the car to check fuses, or to open bonnet and disconnect battery to reset BCM. Or get in boot to crawl through.
Have look on here and seen similar posts, but everyone else can get inside their cars. Can anyone help?
All sorted. Somehow I'd managed to turn the driver's side lock back a notch anti-clockwise. So when I thought I was turning it to open, I was actually just putting it in the normal position. Then like an idiot I'd turn it back, which prevented me from opening from the passenger side. Hope my stupidity helps someone else out there.
Since we are on the topic, don't mind me hijacking the thread for a sec.
I have a question. I bought a VP the other day in rather nice condition. all the barrels and keys work, drivers side feels a little notchy but works, pasanger works both ways but the actuator only closes but doesn't open. Ok no probs can open the door trim and have a look some time.
the real problem is the remote for the car was lost a long time ago by the one and only previous owner. So looking around on ebay just to get an idea on availability of a replacement remote, there is none?
So my question about that is can I use the BCM and remote out of my current VP work car? I plan to decommission the car anyways.
Cheers.
