Hey everyone,
When my car was on the hoist, the exhaust guy told me my inner tie rod ends needed replacing. I've also noticed that my power steering boots aren't looking too good either... Is this something i can/should fix, or should i get someone qualified to do it? Also, will i need another wheel alignment?
Thanks
That's what makes your car feel wobbly on the highway and scetchy over water filled roadsthey don't cost much at all and yep you will need a new alignment
yup trod ends are less than $20 a piece. should help tighten things up. ps boots are a good thing to replace as when dust and water gets in itll screw the rack in no time leaving you to fork out 300 odd for a newie. no idea what the boots are worth but cant be much move $10 each.
alignment will need to be re done and the clips in the t-rods replaced (should never be re-used)
The boots are $30 bucks each, if not more, and makes sense to replace both the boots at the same time, i had to do both mine, but how now i need trailing arm bushes and pan hard bushes.
probably cheaper to replace the whole rack, the inner rack ends can be removed with a pipe wrench
