Hey gang I finally found me a cai otr system and was wondering if I need to take the fan shroud off or trim the bonnet lining back to make it fit.. It's a gmh part. I sat it on top of the rad befor and the bonnet does not shut all the way.. Just thought I would ask..
i think you can just squash the ends down with a heat gun to make it fit
Will have a fiddle around better tomorrow.. Just looking for pics of others on hear now
Might try that too.. Thanks for the help
Got it all done.. Had to lift the front of the bonnet up 10mm and still a tight fit.. Is there any way to lower the rad 10mm?
Hi mate what make is the otr ?
It's the same style as this
Mine touches the bonnet on the right side opening looking at the pic.. That's why I have to lift the bonnet.. Might need to borrow a heat gun to close that part up a tad and open up the rest a tad more..
Ahh cool.. Thanks heaps for the info.. I will borrow a heat gun and give it a go..
Not sure about the Vn's but my brother had CIA much the same as yours on his VP and had to cut the shroud a bit to get it sitting just right. But if you have the $$ i would be getting a MACE CIA instead and then you wont have this prob. Then again you have just forked out $$ for this CIA so i hope it all works out for you.
Looked at the mace cai but could not afford it and found the 1 I got and got a discount through work.. Will use a heat gun to make it fit and if I don't like it will sell it on..
Will let you guys know how the heat gun goes..
Got it done with the heat gun. Warmed it up and then shut the bonnet to mould it..

That otr looks like the biggest restriction. How do you expect to get any air in a gap that small.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
The rest of the opening is twice the size
Is there any more pics that is a small gap ?
Can get more pics when the wife and kids get back home later.. That opening is 2cm..
