Default VN Calais Climate Control Question

    * searched, couldnt find the answer i was after

when im using the A/C, in the VN Calais, my normal settings are Manual, 18 degrees, recirculate, face vents, fan on 3...

the thing is, which brings me to the question, the climate control switches between face and floor on its own, even in manual mode

i would have thought it would stay on face until i changed the settings? (like every other car i have owned did)

is this normal or is my system possessed and needs looking at??

    cheers

Vaccum leak may well be the issue - default (no vaccum) is vents to the floor.

thanks, will check it out (only had the car a few days, so still learning)

should also add that it changes back to face vents after a few seconds, up to a minute
then goes face vent for 5-10mins, then back to feet vent again for a few seconds, up to a minute

and the process repeats for the whole time the A/C is on

Check the vac lines under the bonnet - often have a split some where. It could also be the vac lines off the back of the vac pack under the console.
