93 VP Wag Check Engine Light on

When the car starts up its off, then driving along it comes on.
Whats going on, and what causes the engine light to come on.

Otherwise this car goes fine, nothing wrong with it though, its quite driveable, but the check engine light comes on despite its driving normally.

It is driveable, and good performance over round, but this light comes on.

Whats the cause of it.

Checking your Computer for Faults (VN - VP)

Same thing happened to my VN. I took it to my mechanic who hooked it up to his diagnostic computer and no fault was found.

I then did a search on the forum on how to reset the ecu,disconecting the battery for 5 mins is what i did,and took it out for a test drive today.

The car changes gears more smoothly and engine light did not come on.

Like yours my car drove well but a little rougher than normal gear changes and a little surge here and there and a little idle fluctuation were very noticable to me.

These little abnormalities which didnt really affect its performance,have all gone.

This is what worked for me,now to fix the power window control module but thats another story
