Leaking boot on VP sedan

Doing a bit of work tidying up rust spots around the boot lip and rear windscreen and trying to eliminate the last water leak into the driver's side of the boot area. Have sealed the taillights and dealt with a few small rust holes in the boot lip. Also sealed behind the hinge for the petrol cap cover and the rubber flange around the fuel tank filler pipe. There still seems to be a leak perhaps from under the little cover piece on the bodywork at the bottom of the rear roof pillar. It feels like plastic of some sort and I assume it is covering a weld or join of some sort.
Can anyone tell me how to take that cover off and what I might find underneath it. If there is a rust hole under there I would rather treat it to stop/slow it rather than trying to seal the edges of that little cover and having the rust continue underneath.
I'm using POR15 paint system to treat the problem areas.

the rear quarter glass windows are known to be a problem with leaks in vn/vp's also

thanks for that. I've done a bit of work around there too and it feels like with every area I've sealed the leak gets less but it's still there

one leak that i found was coming from the boot garnish loom rubber. the rubber grommet that the number plate light harness passes through. when i water tested my calais to find the leak i saw that there was a little gap where the electrical tape wasnt tight enough and the water followed the wires right into the boot. tape it tighter or just smear a glob or urethane in the gap of the tape opening.... i did this and dont nave anymore leaks....

There's 3 holes behind that cover, it is plastic and you'll have to be careful not to break it, get a spare just in case, mine had sikaflex behind it and 3 clips into the holes, overkill I think, but it is a join, the por15 system is awsome, but I wouldn't use any other product they sell. I've been told it's shit and expensive.....
