hiyas,my v6 calais for the last couple of weeks has been bunny hopping but if you take it easy its not bad...yesterday was bad and got it home.this morning cranked over with no sucess...cant hear the pump, fuses are good,i took the fuel line off and no fuel came out when on.ive no time to stuff around.......should i replace fuel pump or do other checks before the pump replacement....any suggestions would help out heaps thanx
what calais model is it... vn, vp? bunny hoping meaning the car is surging? be sure to check the relay in the engine bay too... pull it out swap it with one that you know works just to be sure. but more than likely its the pump.
also do you have an override lock in the door jamb or the glove box, and have you used it recently, because they sometimes fail too causing a break in the fuel pump circuit.
dont sweat the petty... pet the sweaty...
thanx for the reply hi-ryder...its a vn 91 calais,it likes to ### up every 2 weeks haha its nearly a new car...ive swapped the relays and its the same...im guessin pump and hopeing its the pump for a quik fix....thanx again mate
