    VP's have little indicators on the front gaurds VN's dont,VP's have a red plastic garnish across the back of the car VN's don't and it will also tell you on the comliance plate what model it is!!!

    i always thought that the easiest way to notice the difference was the shape of the indicators beside the headlights.

    1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
    Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
    1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
    9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD

    Why on earth would you ask if your car is a VN or VP (presumed sedan or wagon) and then tell every one it's a VG ute!!

    It's neither. It's a VG Ute. Depending on what parts you want you can go VN or VP. And being a ute you could even go VQ, VR or VS. Comes down to what you're after.

    What parts are you buying?

    Most parts are interchangeable between VN/VG/VP

    The most obvious differences are the headlights/grille/taillights

    The VP has the large badge on the bonnet, and the badge on the boot with the lock in the centre.

    I'd say you are pretty safe buying parts from either VN or VP... and even the majority of VR/VS parts will fit too (besides cosmetic parts)

    Question Original

    ey original i am actually shopping for a new font bumper for it and when the company asks for whatmodel it is and i say VG they dont know what the heell i am talking about and then they ask what model it is and they say that Both the VN and VP are very similar but if it a VP there has to be a few mods done to the bumper to fit lights or something like that properly so i need to know exactly what the front is on my car either it is a VN or a VP i dont know?
