If you're talking about the center air vents, get a flat blade screw driver and gently start to ease them out. Take the whole thing out as one unit. Just clips in and out. Should take about 2 minutes at most.

the side ones are a bit harder they dont just pop out you have to unscrew the side pods of the dash about 4 screws from memory i think on the driver side there is a screw holding it from the inside too (just pop your cover where the steering and fuses are and you should see it)

While they are out, it's a good oportunity to spray the inside of them silver and jam a couple of high-intensity LED's in there. Looks kinda cool when you hit the air-con switch and the vents light up blue.

I've got a pick kicking around somewhere, I'll post it up when I find it.

Here's a closeup of the driver's side air vent. Looks mad at night.

I'm trying to work out if I can get red one's in there as well and link it up to the heater control dial so that when the heater's on they turn red.

As for the wiring: piece of cake, take the air vent off the side of the dash, and you can just run it straight in through the joint where the air duct meets the vent. I just used shitty speaker wire for it. I've got a full set of over-ride switches in the centre console (very James Bond), so that I can control the vent lights, the footwell neons, door neons and roof neons as well as the bonnet LED's all individually.

Get some strange looks rollin through a little country town with blue light flooding out of the car. And NO I don't have any under the car.
