i am doing automotives as a subject at school and my major project is a vp commodore. i have about $2000 to spend on it does anyone have and good ideas on what i can do?

i dunno exactally what i wanna do i was just looking for ideas in general
well if i were u i'd do a few minor engine mods, cold air intake with a hi flow air filter, custom chip for ecu, then a stereo etc (with all new wiring you learn best that way :P) and then design/looks etc (ie. interior body paint etc)Originally Posted by V6VP

my cold air intake kit cost 56 dollars (i cut air box out my self) and the k&n filter costs 100, but i think the cai work better with the hi flow filters and a exhaust
You are in one of those rare situations where you have money to work on your car and dont know what to do to it, enjoy that feeling while it lasts (which wont be long)
I'd go for engine work and then exhaust system and extractors. Then if there's anything left go for the interior. Whats the paint job on it like at the moment, got any pics?
save another 1000 and get sum schmick 18" or 19" chromies...thats wat i would do

do something to do with ur school work , id being do extractors explain the benefits on that plus the cai for $50 and then look into lower it and the engine mods. Good luck ---

Bigger exhaust. k and n filter. cold air intake. lower the car. extractors then mags tints etc!!! Im a chick and i believe looks are definately not everything. Your car has to go fast!!
mags etc have nuffin to do wif a skool project carexhaust and engien do
GET UTED
Stick to the basics......High flow air filter, exhaust system ect. Then get into the more serious stuff like head work ect.
yer stick with the basics.......
Cold air intake $60
High flow filter $90
Bigger throttle body $100
Remove plastic bell mouth free
extractors, sports exhaust $600-$800
shift kit {if auto} about $200
save the rest for schoolies week
