Angry trip computer

i know there is already a subject about the trip computer beeping but i'am having kinda a different problem.......ok when i first got the car it never used to beep.....but i had a tune up on it done and he took out the cluster to check the bulbs to see if they all work.......he put it back......Also i need a new ecu so he replaced that but now everytime i put the accelerator down it will beep at me and about 10 mins later if i haven't let go of the accelerator......it keeps beeping :b: it is getting really annoying. It won't beep any other time unless i put the accelleraor down everything else works on it.......any ideas?

Tested for any fault codes? Maybe there is something going on that you should know about.

get a paper clip or a bit of wire and find the empty plug belwo the glove box next to the left hand kick panel (if you cant find it it may be behind the kick panel but shouldnt be) now use the paper clip to bridge the black wire to the whit one....

they are both on the end of the plug now go turn your ignition on (dont start the car) and watch the engine light flash

it will flash pause then flash again the first flashes are 10's and the second flashes are units so if it goes flash flash flash pause flash flash that would be 32

each code will repeat three times and go to the next code if no codes are stored then it will flash code 12 repetedly

once all codes have been flashed it starts again so dont worry if you miss one

so go get us the numbers and we will see if anything needs replacing

i take it everything works on your cluster

does your handbrake light stay on when its down (that would cause a beeping from the trip comp)
