when i go to turn the car on it just chugs and stalls, i can start it and it sounds really rough and i can rev it and it doesnt stall, but as soon as i let it idle it just chugs and stalls. Does anyone know what the problem is. The problem started after i went to turn it on but i didnt have the key the full way to the right long enough before letting it go.
Any help would be gratefull thanx

i woke up this morning, tried to start the bitch but she did the same thing again. could it be to do with the harmonic balancer?

i'd say stick with the chape stuff first.
cas & oxygen sensor is the first port of call as well as the battery..
check the charge of the battery.. even replace it if you have a spare, (like another v6 with a battery) pull theirs out and put it in your just to see if its the battery.. ect.ect.

pull them out (case, O2 sensor) clean them up and stick them back in.
if theres a bit of improvment may need to invest some money!

    Try this mate:

Get a bucket of water, and pour it all over the harmoni balancer (bottom pulley).

Start it now and see if it fixes the problem.

Hmm, try changing the CAS then. Did the water make any noticeable difference at all?

nar, i think its just a faulty fuel pump or its blocked, that makes the most sense, i'm taking it upto the mechanics tomorrow morning, my mum said she's pay for it (mums, gotta love em)

i would strongly recomend taking it to a auto spark champ, if you can rev yr car, then the fuel pump is gone, if it's starting, then cas is fine, if it's hodling it's idle at a rev, then the injectors are fine,

i recently worked on a member's car, she has a vn exec series1 also, it did the exact same thing, turned out her's was ecu related,

if a ecu is faulty, it will give the signs of a faulty fuel pump, just keep yr eye on this one
