there was already a thread about a guy who lowered his car, which turned into a pissing contest of who's was lower. Search and you should find it.

Theres alos a VR/S thread, but that probably wont help you.

Here's my VP riding on king spring lows (same height as FE2, 30mm lower than standard). -with monroe GT gas shocks.

The springs might still be settling in as i had them out about a week ago.

    Cheers,
    Luke

did it myself, just put a thread up 'bout how to do it.

Intially i just put the springs in and left standard shockers... rode better than with the standard height springs...

now with shortened shockers it's MUCH better.
i changed a few bushes here and there to nolethane ones which also seemed to give it more 'feeling'

I'm still undecided as to whether the strut brace i fitted does anything or not (but there's already a long thread about that)...though the car feels fairly solid under hard cornering.

next up is a set of thick swaybars and i think i'll finally be happy with the ride! all whilst not losing the car's stock appearance.

Here's another one on actual FE-2's, with shortened shockers in the rear and regular shockers in the front.

Note that this was taken just after we'd put he springs in, so it still needs to settle a little more (but not very much)

the car will drive fine with normal shockers, however if you put it up on a hoist, or get one back wheel off the ground somehow or of you go down some crazy embankment or something like that (to extend the shock to it's almost full length of travel the back springs are likely to fall out, which makes for a mess when the car lands back down.

just spend the extra 100 bux at online performance automotive (look for shocks on ebay, you'll find them) - highly recommended

Heres my car with Fe2's and standard suspension. They are just perfect, and i have never scraped anything. Much better than stock height.

    thanks vnpower... another great picure.
sits nice i was told from a very good suspension shop ther is no need for shortened shockers for fe2 or sports low springs. better not be cause i've already bought my shockers :S
will sports low drop my car about the same as fe2? from what i know sports low is like 20 -40mill
    fe2 is like 20 -30mill

    is that right??

From what ive read around sports low is the same height as FE2, and you dont need shortened shocks. However, if you get superlows you're going to have to get them. But i would just stick to the FE2 or sports low. Nothing will scrape and you will have a much smoother looking ride.

EDit: here is a rear pic comparison.. hope this helps

I have a big job ahead of me with the new car because the 17 inch wheels are just not happy with the VP IRS, I'll need the VS rear hubs and arms?? to get the wheels to hang out far enough, I'll run little wheels till then
