This is just speculation more than anything, it's probably not going to happen but how much would it roughly cost all up?

I'm not just talking from the VN either, what would be the cost in getting ALL the V8 gear from the Series 2 VS into the Series 1 VN?

Engine,
Gearbox
Diff
Tailshaft
ECU

etc...

I know nothing about engine transplants, by the way, I know a fair bit has to be installed and that's about it.

Lots :), but buying a manual series two VS is going to cost you over 10 grand if you ever found someone willing to part with one and you will have to look high and low to find such a thing. You could do it cheaper than that if you can find one crashed without much damage, but the VN motor is the same anyway and cheaper to buy. Even with VN parts it will be much cheaper to buy a whole car

Fair enough, makes perfect sense.

I'd rather save my money up and tune the hell out of a VY V6 Berlina station wagon one day ;) get myself a quick 6 :D
