Default Removing the Vacuum Block from the heater controls?

Hi guys, still trying to get the heater unit out. The problem now is the vacuum hoses attached to the heater unit.

How hard should I pull on the hose when trying to ge them off?

Is there any tricks to getting them off?

Do they come off as a block or individually?

Just lever it gently with a screw driver or pull it out gently

getting them off is the easy part, getting them back on without a minor leak is the fun bit!

they are a c**nt of a think to put back in sometimes, VN especially. lucky with the VP its a different block and has little guides to help you slide it in gently
best bet is to line it up and put a screwdriver through the hoses (not literally) and push the block back in to the heater unit... you could use your fingers, but i doubt any one has fingers that small.
hope ive been helpful in some way!

Using the screwdriver to lever it on/off is the easiest way in the VN. Just make sure that none of your vac hoses are bent/twisted/kinked/caught when you put the entire assembly back in, otherwise you're going to have at least one position that you can't get to. Once you've done it once it's really easy to do it again, but that first time while you're working things out can be a real headf**k.
