You most likly have heard all of this before I tried to go back in the forum and find a simular problem but there are too many. I have a vn 1989 and have this problem it seems to happen when the car is hot I can drive it and then when I go to get back in it won't start (won't kick over) it happen once and this gentleman said pour cold water over the injectors which he did for about 3 minutes and it started I have taken it to a garage and they can't seem to find the problem. Also petrol comes out through the injectors not all of them just about 2 of them
would love to hear any advice
sounds lik eu got leaky injectors maybe time for some new ones if its the injectors leaking i cant see how a mechanic would miss that though
I had the same problem, it was the crank angle sensor that was causing my problem not the injectors.
crank angle sensor in mine too
i think you can pour water on that(crank sensor)
yeah, cold water on the CAS always workd for me until I had tha CAS replaced no problems since.
definately your crank angle sensor it is so common but if your injectors are leaking get new o rings and you might aswell get them cleaned and flow tested whilst they are out.
thanks for the advice will try all and let u know
crank abgle sensor in mine too
cank angle sensor is the prob, happened to a mates vn
i am going to say the same as everyone else... crank angle sensor on mine too.. bloody things why do they sh*t themselves so much..
I did one of those code fault finders and it showed up number 23 Mass Air Temp Sensor would anyone be able to give me a clue on what that is and where is it and how to fix it. I think this maybe the reason for the not starting when its hot.Originally Posted by murri_rose
