I was drivin along after flogging a falcon wagon and my car just cut out and i couldn't get it to start so after taking it home on the trailer. I checked everything three times over and found nothing. but the check engine light wasn't lighting when turning the car to on. i put a connector between g and h on the dionostics link and the check engine light came on so i tryed to start and it started and now it starts every time????????????????????????????
go out and flog it again and if it does it again it will be a sensor
any ideas which sensors it could be after it started it showed 12 on the dionostics and the CAS and MAP sensors are new.
I know it went
12 12 12
12 12 12
12 12 12
12 12 12
New plugs last week, New bosch leads 1 month ago, injector cleaner once monthly, is the regulator at the end of the fuel rail vacum activated or should fuel come out the return fuel line if the car is turned off but fuel pump is running.
why would connecting those pins on dionostic cable fix the problem and moke my check engine light work
no misfires
what you have G and H bridged to be able to start?Originally Posted by vpv6wagon
code 12 can also mean a malfunctioning ECU to...
swaped the ecu for one out of my parts car. remanafactored delco unit 30 000km since it was redon and put in other car and othe car ran fine.
now it starts without g and h bridged only bad to bridge it and start it then removed the bridge. i had bridged it before to test the pump and that didn't make a differance it was only when i tryed to start it that it fixed the prob

even though you have swapped ECU's out of your parts car, leave it in yours for awhile and see what happens,or have you already taken it for a drive with it in it?Originally Posted by vpv6wagon
not real keen on taking it for a drive till i find and fix a problem the mate who owns the trailer is gettin a bit sick of towing my car homeOriginally Posted by samuels
so even with the swapped ECU does it still do this? is it starting?Originally Posted by vpv6wagon
it still wouldn't start with the swapped ecu i ended up swapping it back
it is starting now but only because i put a connector between g and h and tryed to start it while the fuel pump was already going
So the fuel pump isn't running without those two wires bridged?
Yours Kindly,
Jim
The diagnostic link will turn on the engine fan,a/c control relay, torque conv clutch & extend the iac valve. Not turn on the fuel pump. Also when running bridging the terminal puts it in field service mode where the dashlight informs of the fuel loop being used.
it wasnt running and when i bridged g and h and started while the link was in so i pulled the link out and now it starts (without the link) dionostic mode is when u short a and b
it runs without wires bridges nowOriginally Posted by 2Fast2FuriousDude

Have you checked your fuel pump relay & wires for a bad connection?
my car stopped again today when i was going around a round about fairly fast. and again when i was trying to start it i noticed the check engine light wasn't lighting when i was trying to start the car (like when the ignition is turned to on but the car isn't running). so with the ignition turned to on i bridged d and c (a few blue sparks when i was doing this) looked at the dash and the check engine light was on. so i tryed to start it and it started????
any suggestions welcome cause im stumped.
