I came across a page ages ago that made mention of being able to fit a second alternator in place of the idler pulley on the VN V6 engine. Now of course I can't find that page anywhere, I was wondering if anyone could shed a little light on it for me.
It's something that I'm interested in, not because I'm going to do it any time soon, but because it seems like a fairly cool little setup. Aparently there's a small alternator (I think they said it was from a Toyota) that could be bolted on in place of the pulley.
Any info would be appreciated,
Cheers
Michael

why bother with all the fiddling around???
like it is a good idea but its just as easy and practical to buy a 140 amp alternator
Hey, as I said in my post, I'm intersted in it just out of curiosity, not because I'm thinking of doing it myself. Just because I saw a mention of it a while back, and it's something fairly different. That's all.
