looks like a vn s1 to me, costs about 2 grand to get it done, or you can buy an auto to manual kit for 500-1000 to diy, no idea about anything else :S
easiest thing to do is find a VN that is written off, with low K's and good 5 speed, and just swap motor and box over in one hit.Originally Posted by _A_D_A_M_
otherwise your up for an adaptor or CRS flywheel to suit your auto crank.
depends where you are you can expect to pay up to $1500 to convert/buy an unwanted /wrecked VN 5 speed.
I bet it wouldnt cost so much to convert from manual to auto hey..
It seems that being a series 1 is a important factor, what are we looking at if it was a series 2 then?
$750-$850 +flywheel....then some $$$ for console quarter(where gear lever goes) + plate that pop rivets to floor, but they may throw that in if you buy the gearbox.Originally Posted by Wingnut0021
thanks everyone. i might be able to get a engine and gearbox but i dont think i could be bothered changing it all over just to flog the f*** out of it and have it blow.

How much is a supra 5 or 6 speed and conversion kit these days? might not be much difference in price? for a much better box
