Default Power window popped out????? wtf

    ok power window owners

ive just installed power windows over the weekend and am having a problem with my front drivers side.....

it was working fine for the last two days and now that ive put the door trim back on the thing decides... haha you think your finished im gonna pop off the rail now...

so now my cars parked outside of my work with the window going nowhere.

have i missed somthing during the install... i dont think so but the only thing that i could have possibly dont wrong is i used the standard regulators guide instead of the ones from the powered doors.... i didnt take much notice when i took them out but im pretty sure they were the same (well thats what i thaught untill now)

so does anyone have any ideas why its just popped out (i think that the slid just somehow slid out of the rail.. not the white clip come off the regulator.)

or can anyone confirm that the powered reg slide differs from a manual one..... the little adjustment slide that comes of the reg and bolts to the door.

it popped out when it got to the very bottom.... i had done it before with no troubles

    Cheers
    Adam

don't quote me on this but something may be different in them,as iv'e noticed the calais door trims are held on by screws, admittedly i haven't pulled my trims off to see if there is a difference,as i haven't had a need to,now whether they are shaped differently i dunno,as the power window buttons are on the console, not much help i know, but thats what iv'e noticed calais trims(door-front) are screwed on rather than the old plastic trim bullets...

ive pulled it down again now and have found the slider seems to have dropped slightly.. so ive put some spring washers on there to hold it tighter as the calais doors only had holes and didnt have any room to adjust like the normal doors do. its working fine again now ill just have to see how it goes..

the screw your talking about goes straight into the normal doors aswell

what the 4 screws that actually hold the door trim on ?iv'e only seen them on the calais, the executives have the bullet trim clips that you have to carefully prize out with a screwdriver behind them and no screws

the calais ones i have have the four screws one at the bottom (near the map pocket) one in the lock and two in the handles and have all the bullet clips aswell but the calais trims are made of a much stronger material than the exec ones

i fixed it last night and the 6" slider had moved from where i left it... i think it was somthing to do with letting my missus do the nuts up
