    Exclamation Fuel Pump??

My Vn Series I has been playing, it idles rough and jerks hard sometimes when i take off. Sometimes when I turn into a street or at the lights, the engines just stalls. Pretty dangerous driving it around at the moment. My mate says it mostly likely the fuel pump not 100% sure yet. The car was playing up similar to this 3 or so months ago. I chucked in a new crank sensor and it fixed it. But playing up again......what could it be?

If the fuel pump was dead, it wouldn't let you touch the throttle at all. They either work or they don't, they typically don't come-and-go for a while.

    Check your coil pack/leads/plugs

mouce - have have replaced all the spark plus and set of $100 leads. I'v tested the coil pack...its a series II coil pack...i think coils 4 and 6...if thats the middle two coils....they were like a bit under normal watts. So it could be the coil.

samuels - I replaced the fuel filter only about a month ago.....so that cant be the problem for now..

    Any more ideas?
    Cheers!

    Fuel pressure regulator?

Check all your earth straps as well. Also, while you're checking that stuff, have a look for any dodgy connections you might find to the ignition control module.

    Default Found problem

Yeh today I took the car to the mechanics...he looked at it for like a minute and found the problem. It was the wires coming from somewhere that are connected to the coil pack...the cars like 18, 19 years old..so the wires a bit stuff. It tied it the wires together for now. It seems to have work. No problems yet. Atleast now I know wtf going on.
